Driving Along

While you drive, its important that you are aware about your traffic surrounding. Make a routing for looking ahead, behind and from side to side. Check your vehicle mirrors every five seconds or so, and check your bind spots. To check your blind spots turn your head to look over your shoulder. Make sure you don't drive other vehicles' blind spots. Large commercial vehicles typically have large blind spots to their slides and back. Be extra careful at dusk and dawn when everyone has difficulty adjusting to the changing light.

Always keep a cushion of space around your car. As a driver you need to prepare for the unexpected. Anticipate other drivers movements and make allowances for every possible error.
